his anyone else having a problem getting the sim to be recognised on the above phone?

@wn5  is that device network free ? Ie not locked to a network?    If it’s not you’ll need to ask the network it’s locked too to unlock it from that network.     Where did you get the device from ?

it's unlocked, bought it off a friend who says he had no problem with it using a Vodaphone and Giff gaff sim, other people are saying there's went like that when it updated to android 12.

@wn5  And is that a Sim card work okay and a different device ?   Have you tried factory resetting the device?  
i’ve just had a look on a oneplus forum and it’s known issue.  This has nothing to do with EE as it’s a Oneplus update that has caused this issue. Perhaps you need to restore back to android 11.

yes, works fine on my oppo, I have done a network, phone reset then wiped it all clean but nothing, I am not clever enough to restore it back to android 11
