Trying to get TNT sport in HD

I now find that I cannot watch TNT Sport/ EE/BT Sport ( or whatever they are calling themselves today) on TV in SD, and get a message saying I must order HD for £6(per day/week/ month???). I try to do so but get another message saying I’ve failed. and should ring 0800 800 150.  I am greeted by ‘BT Newcastle’ and a person who tells me at (200 mph) that I cannot add HD without re-negotiating my whole BT (EE?) contract, and that my calls package no longer exists and my BT Halo is out of date etcetc…. It was all just too difficult so I ended this unsatisfactory  conversation.

Why was I not told this in October2024 when I renewed my contract? What has changed so dramatically in 2 months? I have been with BT for 20  years, but since EE got involved it all seems to have gone to worms. All I want is to be able to watch rugby on TNT sport. Is there any way of doing this without some aggressive agent turning my whole BT life upside down?

If you are with BT and are posting on here, you are doomed 😢

Go back and post on the BT Community:-

Resist all blandishments to move to EE, tell anyone from BT who tells you that is your only option that they are mistaken (which may be a euphemism for lying), tell anyone from BT who says that you can’t flex your package that they are putting BT in breach of the Trades Description Act, and generally stay polite but make a bloody nuisance of yourself until they transfer you to the Value Team (aka Retentions) who can and will do what you want, and probably throw in a sweetener too.
