Hi guys
Long time BT user but left a few month ago to try Virgin (bad mistake). I attempted to rejoin last night both via the web and over the phone but the max speed my line can support isn't available. The EE ordering system is limiting me to the 51mbs down/10mbs up. Flip over to the BT ordering system and that'll let me order the up to 80mbs/20mbs service (currently there is a DSL service on the line provided by Now Broadband that's synced at 71/18. I was tempted to order the whole thing via BT but their website will only let me order 1 extra box not 2.
Any suggestions on where to go will be much appreciated.
Thanks

What does BT Wholesale Broadband Availability Checker estimate for your phone number? Post just the whole table and the line above it, blanking out your phone number. If it doesn't recognise your phone number or you don't have one, use the Address Checker.
To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone
ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

My suggestion would be to order the slower speed with EE and then upgrade the day after it's enabled - once the line is active with EE, our systems will receive all the line stats which should offer the faster speed. If it doesn't, it'll be easier to raise a fault on an existing EE account, than trying to raise it on a prospective one.

Thanks Darren
Just debating if the 24 month commitment for EEtv is something we want but will follow your advice if we do.

@DarrenDev If we go for the Apple TV, within the 14 day cooling off is it possible to switch to Box Pro if we don't like the interface. I can't find much online in terms of video about the EE Apple TV app.

Yes, it is possible to switch between the Apple TV and TV Box Pro.
We're working on providing more information online about the Apple TV experience, however you'll find some users have uploaded their own videos of it on YouTube.

I actually think it is the EE system that can’t make its mind up.
As a BT customer on Fibre 2 with an average speed of 60/14, if I dry run ordering from EE I am sometimes only offered Essentials 37 and other times I can change to Essentials 67 which would give me the speed I have with BT now.
I also get different results if I start the journey from a TV perspective (then add broadband), or start with with broadband then add TV.
Might be worth trying it a few times?

@Profile closed yep totally agree. If I order before 9am but after 7pm I can order the 80/20, outside of those times it's 51/10. BT its both packages 24x7.
