Netflix sound quality

I’ve been using Netflix on EE TV for a few weeks with no problems. This evening I was watching Netflix when the screen went black. I somehow managed to get a screen up which looked similar to the Home Screen. None of the buttons on the remote would work except the on/off button. When I switched off, the lights on the tv box went off but the picture stayed on the screen. I then switched everything off at the wall, tv, tv box and router.  After switching  on, everything was back to normal except that the sound on Netflix is terrible, the dialogue keeps fading out. This doesn’t happen if I watch on my iPad. Any ideas please?

Hi @MeggyB I can imagine it's frustrating when you're trying to watch a movie and the sound quality isn't as good as It should be.

Have you noticed any issues with the sound quality when you're using any other TV apps or watching any other channels?

@MeggyB

You probably got the TV Home Screen up, not the EE TV one, if it stayed there when you switched the tv box off.

But power cycling the equipment was a good next step.

A couple of questions before we can give any advice - what, exactly, is the ‘tv box’? A Box Pro? A Box Mini? An Apple TV box? An earlier YouView box, and if so, what model?

And can you look at some other apps on the tv box, maybe normal broadcast also, to see if they have the sound issue, or if it is specific to Netflix?

[Edit: posting crossed with @Chris_S  asking that same question]
