Identifying Mobile Devices connected to EE TV Pro box

Been meaning to ask this for some time but keep forgetting.

We have two mobile phones with the EE TV app that are connected to our EE TV Pro box but the box identifies them both as Mobile Device.

You can only pair or unpair a device but if I want to unpair a specific device there is no way to identify which device is which.
It was like this on the old BT TV boxes too

If I understand you correctly you wish to unpair a phone from your  EE TV Box Pro.

If you still have the phone then you can do this within the EETV app on your phone rather than by the settings menu of the EE TV Box Pro. If you no longer have the phone then you could unpair both of the mobile devices on the Box Po device and then go to the other phone you do have and pair that one again using the EETV app on the phone.

Open EETV app on phone go to My TV  and the settings

This is from an iPad but you should have something similar on your phoneThis is from an iPad but you should have something similar on your phone

Does the TV not show their MAC Addys alongside?

Are those "Mobile Device" clickable?

Hi

Nothing at all to identify them. Device name, device make and model, MAC address all not displayed.

All you can do it tick a box next to each device and then Disconnect the device. No options, settings etc

Hi @PaulB2005

Welcome to the community.

I'll pass this over to our EE TV team as feedback. I'm not sure there's anything you can do to identify which is which at the moment.

Annoyingly, we do uniquely identify each device when pairing the EE TV app with the YouView cloud, and they used to show that information on this screen.

They stopped showing it following a rebrand a few years ago, and now just show "Mobile Device", as you're seeing.

As @zulu17 has mentioned, unpairing from within the app is the best way.  Otherwise, you'd need to delete them all and then pair again.

Cheers @zulu17

I'll have a look at that later
