Discounts on EE TV

Hi all,

First time post on the community. I'm currently reaching the end of a fixed term, discounted contract with Sky TV. Naturally, we'd like to investigate options to save a few quid if possible.

Both myself and my wife are EE mobile customers and we take broadband with EE too. My question is mostly a time saver for me: if I ring up EE sales, do the reps have the power to offer any discounts over and above the prices shown on the MyEE website when I click onto the TV section? Or are the prices strictly as shown on the website?

Many thanks in advance.

In certain circumstances depending on the deals which are active, there may be under the counter offers for existing customers adding a TV product which can be better than externally advertised offers. Whether these differ to what you are shown as an existing customer in your App, I am not sure.

What kind of offers are you currently getting in your app? How do these compare to new customer pricing? If they are cheaper, it is automatically giving you the best rate. If not, call EE and ask to add TV and see what they can offer.

Make sure you do your homework about EE TV to make sure it's right for you, as it can be different to Sky in some aspects.

Some useful information is linked below: https://ee.co.uk/help/tv-sport

Negotiations may be more effective on the phone as they can speak to their manager etc with regards to pricing.

I seen on the BT site for example that they are offering for a limited time, their EE TV Entertainment package (same service without free multi room) for £14 a month and this should be consistent between EE and BT in my opinion as they are the same company basically.

There are always offers available, it’s just actually getting what you are told on the phone that can prove tricky.

Personally I usually stick with online as I can screenshot what I am being offered and the best offers I have ever had are at renewal, not when joining.

Visiting a BT/EE store might be a good halfway house when negotiating.

Agreed on visiting the stores, very helpful in my experience at accessing these kind of offers as they seem to be more service/feedback-based.

@martin_c_a I wouldn't hang about too long if BT are offering new deals for example but have a quick look at the link I posted earlier to make sure your happy with what you would get
