Tried the message us on the app which seems clunky at the moment and just keeps loading. Recently got my phone fixed in-stone and had a discussion whilst waiting on 'moving' my existing BT package to EE, everything semed fined, was a fair amount cheaper , all good no complaints.
What arrived was a 'mini' box which i've now found doesnt record, whereas the BT box i had before was able to, which is not hugely important but was used a reasonable amount.
Am i able to upgrade/buy/request the Pro box version ?

Yes, no problem. As @Chris_B says, you'll need to call. It's not a standard scenario, so it may be a little awkward for them, but if they can't do it, insist that a fault is raised so that one of the back end team can do it manually instead. I helped with a case like this just a few weeks ago, so I know it's possible.
As multiroom with EE is free, you also have the option of keeping the TV Box Mini and then asking for a TV Box Pro to be sent out in addition.
