Apple TV+ trial gifting?

Does anyone know if you can ‘gift’ the Apple TV+ free trial to someone?

I’ve just added EE TV (with the Apple TV 4K box) to my EE Full Fibre broadband account.

I already have an Apple TV+ subscription, via the Apple One add on included within my Full Works for iPhone Sim package. Hence I'm wondering if I can pass on the free trial benefit to a friend?

Good morning @Traynor78.

Welcome back to the EE Community 😊

I've had a check over the terms of the free Apple TV+ period, and from what I can gather you're welcome to select whatever Apple ID you'd like during the registration process, but we can't transfer the membership outright.

This will need to be redeemed through your account, and whilst it's managed separately to the subscription you have on your mobile, it's still all linked to your account.

So for example if this was redeemed with a friend's Apple ID, once the free period comes to an end this would continue to be charged from your account until you stopped the feature, and any amendments would need to be done via your app.
