Sim expiration abroad?

Hi, I have been travelling in Nepal for the past month and a half and was using a Nepali sim.

I now re-inserted my EE sim and don’t think it works anymore.

Does the uk sim expire after a certain amount of time? What can I do to rectify this?

is there an online chat with a live advisor as I’m not able to use the phone?

Hi @Samir_fk83

Our pay as you go SIM cards deactivate after 6 months of no chargeable activity. You then have three months to call us to reactivate it.

How long has it been since you last made a call/sent a text from the SIM?

Chris

Hi Christopher_G

i don’t have a pay as you go sim , I have a contract sim.

I haven’t used it for a month and a half. Any advice pls?

It shouldn't have expired then, @Samir_fk83

Is everything still active in your My EE account? Have you tried manually searching for a Nepalese network?

Chris

A contract SIM can't expire as long as you keep paying for it. It's probably that roaming hasn't been set up properly for it. Did you text ROAMING to 150 before you leave UK to ensure roaming is enabled on your account?
