Scam?

Hi, I had a call from a foreign lady, supposedly working for BT, to

say it has been identified that my router had multiple IP addresses linked to it. She wanted remote access to run diagnostics and resolve the issue. I have been having a lot of problems with my Wi-Fi dropping out for short periods, so could have been legit. However, I politely declined to give my details and have since used the help function with EE to

have my line and router checked/refreshed. I assume this was a scam.

Hi @LiZz5

Yes it sounds like a scam.

Nobody from EE would ever ask for account details or access as they requested. I would recommend changing your EE account password to be in the safe.

Thanks
