SIM card's original number not updated despite being changed to my chosen number

I asked EE to transfer a PAYG number to a PAYM SIM and although the number has gone across successfully, everywhere else on my phone and on my contact card it is still displaying the number that came with the SIM.

I have tried to update the number in SIM card settings but it won't update elsewhere.

I have a Samsung A52.

Any ideas?

Hi @Karaokequeen

If calls & texts are working successfully on the new number, that's the important thing.

What specific menu options on your phone are causing concern?

Good  question   you posted,

Dose the original  number  show when calling  or texting  ??

It may be  a case of  calling  customers  service  ,,, again    or

Poping in to store  for the BT/EE store to swap  the  sim  card  yet again

Sorry

Hi, thanks for your answer. No, my new number shows up on calls and texts and works as expected.

I'll do that though, thank you.

True, it's more of an annoyance!!

It shows the original number on my phone, on the SIM card manager, and also on my contact details when I tap on my name at the top of the Contacts menu. It's almost like the change hasn't rolled out globally, if that makes sense?

@Karaokequeen   Have you restarted the device?

Yeah, countless times. I've also tried removing and re-inserting the SIM.
