I ordered a SIM card for my daughters phone, after the old sim card stopped working. I've put the new SIM card in, and it now recognises that it is an EE card, but it says Emergency Calls Only. Do I have to wait 24 hours for it to activate, or is there something I haven't done?
Thank you

I went in to the EE Shop, and the lady who served us was excellent. She explained that sometimes the SIM cards that are sent through the post don't activate properly, but she could do it straight away in store. She did that, and within 20 minutes we were all back to normal.
Thank you for your help, Michael.

Thanks for coming to the community.
The SIM would usually be working within 24 hours. Although it can often be quicker, we have to give it the full time to activate.
Was it a new number on EE or a replacement for an existing EE SIM?

It was a replacement for an existing EE SIM. The old sim stopped working so we ordered a replacement. We've now waited 24 hours and it still hasn't activated. I may go in to an EE shop this weekend see if they can activate it.

It would be best to give our customer service guides a call @billettcentral1, and they can check to see if it is active on the account, and if not they can activate it for you.
If it is showing as active, they'll run through what could be stopping it from connecting.
