Porting from BT to EE - should I have received a New Sim?

I am changing from BT to EE and got the pac code and things started by BT etc.  This was on Sunday.  It's now Wednesday (2pm) and my phone is still not able to get/receive calls & texts.  People ringing me can leave EE voicemails though.

So.......should I have received a sim from EE when transferring?  Or as BT and EE are now joined, should I be fine with the BT sim still in and they have just moved the number over?

Also - is this long just normal so I should just wait?  (PS it's bee restarted a few times now!).

Thanks 🙂

Hi @zippyants Welcome to the EE family 😊

Thanks for coming to the community.

I'm disappointed to hear that you're having some trouble with your SIM right now.

Yes, you will need a new EE SIM to be able to access your services. When we post these out, they can take 3-5 working days to receive, so if one hasn't arrived for you, it will be best to double-check what stage things are at.

You're welcome to call us directly on 07953 966 150 or visit us at any EE store. If you do head to store please take valid photo ID, accepted ID can be found HERE. You can pop in any time or book an appointment.

Thanks for the quick reply @Linzi_H  - they never told me this so I've been waiting!  Is there any way you can check if one has actually been sent out as I can't ring that number without a phone and visiting a store is not an option for me at the moment.  I tried looking for chat online but you cant unless you actually have the EE app and I cant even do that as I can't confirm my number to join!

Thanks for coming back to me @zippyants

We don't have account access here in the community, so you will need to chat with one of our Guides over the phone if you can't get to a store right now.
