New to ee and still cant text after 1 month but can ring

It's the Samsung Ag4 , same as my husband we both got the same one on the same day..I put my pac code in from tesco mobile just like we did with my husbands and his worked straight away and mine hasn't. I've been in the shop twice, spoke to ee inshore on the phone, also had to ring Samsung to do a phone reset.

I want to use my old number of xxxxxxxxxx. My mother is in hospital and I can't text my family but I can ring them. Its been a month now
