I’m going to turkey on Sunday every time I visit a country it won’t let me use my phone abroad unless I’m connected to internet through wats app can’t send or receive texts or calls and won’t connect to data unless it’s WiFi at a property why is this what’s the best solution or add or I can purchase

You know you have to buy a roaming data pack when you arrive otherwise you won’t have internet.

If you've not been able to use your services abroad before, it sounds like your account is not set up for roaming.
If you're a pay monthly customer, please text ROAMING to 150 before you travel, and make sure data roaming is enabled in your device settings.
You can see all the costs for Turkey here 👉 Roaming Costs. If you'd like to buy a roaming pass, you can do this when you arrive, and we'll text you with instructions on how to do this.
If you have a Spend Cap, please also make sure to adjust this before your travels. You can do this by texting SPEND CAP to 150.
