Hello, I am in the same situation as tomorrow I will travel to Italy, I recall some months ago I called from Italy to get the adds-on and had to be taken the 10 GBP payments via telephone. I am not too sure if it was the right thing but it was quite Painful to get in contact with them etc. If you reply to the text, how do they charge you the 10 GBP? Thanks.

@LisaOri : If you have no credit you won't be able to buy the 7-day roaming add-on & thus not be able to use your pack there.
Do you have an active pack? If not, that's another reason why you can't buy the 7-day roaming add-on. In fact you won't be offered it.
For a hassle-free trip make sure you have £10+ credit & an active pack before you leave.

@XRaySpeX then I guess that having a DD in place and the 0 credit , I have to top up now 10 GBP from the Uk so that when I land to Italy tomorrow I can activate it and the money will be taken from my credit, correct?

@LisaOri : Yes, you need to have £10+ credit & an active pack before you leave.
You don't pay for PAYG by DD. You may very well have a Direct Card Payment from your bank card but that can't pay for the roaming add-ons.

@XRaySpeX I guess I have a pack, see below. Well what I meant it that they take always 10 GBP every month I am not sure how. but given the below, I top up 10 GBP and then I should be fine to activate from there?

If you don't manually top-up it must be an auto Direct Card Payment from a registered bank card.
What does texting AL to 150 from your no. fully report verbatim (it is free)?

Thanks. You haven't actually topped-up since May. So since then you have been auto buying packs on your bank card.
