Plan changes abroad

My last plan was ended on 8/10 and I am currently in abroad. I pay £10 for 7 days roaming in EU before 8/10, now, I changed my plan and it shows new plan will active on 9/10. However, I don’t have any internet now. So I would like to ask, is that 7 days roaming EU still usable? Second question, why I cannot use any 4G now. Is there any gap between 8/10 to 9/10?

When you mention plans, are you currently on pay as you go and moved on to a new monthly pack, or are you on a contract and opted to upgrade your plan?
