No network in US

I have the same issue.

I did not text Roaming before leaving and now I'm unable to add more money to receive texts as it's not connecting to a network in the US

@gianaeckhardt : I assume you are on PAYG as you need to top-up.

Try using Fast Top-up online to pay by UK bank card. You don't need to login or register anything. All you need is your mobile no. & it doesn't remember your card details.

On PAYG you don't text ROAMING to 150.

Had you used that SIM for making calls or texts in UK before you left to go abroad?

It won't let me top up the number using that site.

It says:

We're not able to accept payments to that number. Please try again.

I tried again and got the same message.

@gianaeckhardt : & what about my Q  I asked you?

& When did you last make a chargeable action from that SIM?

The sim has been used abroad before.

It was last topped up on 25 January, 2026

Yes, but what about in UK?

What about a chargeable action other than a top-up?

The SIM is from the UK and is not in the US.

I'm not sure what a chargeable action is? It's only been topped up for pay as you go.

@gianaeckhardt : Has that SIM been used for making calls or texts in UK before going abroad?

When did you last make a chargeable call or text or buying a Pack or Add-on, not just using your mins, texts or data from your pack?

There haven't been any chargeable calls or text used on this sim, though it has been used abroad before.

I' m not getting SOS. Nor am I getting any connection.

@gianaeckhardt : If you have never made a chargeable action from it, the chances are that your PAYG SIM may have gone into hibernation due to non-use. If it has, topping-up now would be too late.

When did you previously make a chargeable action prior to the recent top-up? EE PAYG SIMs are deactivated after 6 months of non-chargeable use. You then have a further 3 months period of grace to call EE to reactivate it before it is lost completely.

You needed to make a chargeable action like making a chargeable call or text, topping up or buying a Pack or Add-on, not just using your mins, texts or data from your pack.
