Very Confused

Just signed up for a PAYG number online and assumed after they took my payment I’d be able to immediately activate an eSIM on my phone and be given a new number. Nope. Just an email saying I’m get something in 1-2 business days. What will I get? I don’t want a piece of plastic, I want a new number now. What did I do wrong or not understand?

I don’t see a chat facility to talk to an agent either.

EE don't offer eSIM on PAYG

You can purchase a new PAYG SIM from most supermarkets.
