phone number formatted incorrectly

Hi.

I have one phone number in my contact list that suddenly has stopped letting me send sms messages to and just keeps saying phone number formatted incorrectly. I use to be able to send ok.

I have tried deleting and re-entering but still no joy, can you help?

Is the number saved as +44 7 or 07 within your contacts?

Can you call the number?

Also, can they text you?

Hi, 

Yes it's a UK number and yes they can text me and yes we can call each other 

Just can't understand why it's the only one in my contacts and that we use to be able to text.

Could you try deleting the contact and sending a new text to the number without this saved, does this work for you?

Is there any chance you could try your SIM in another phone to see if you can send the text message?
