Hello,
I have an old Sony Ericsson Satio U1i that was originally locked to T-Mobile UK. As far as I know, T-Mobile UK is now part of EE, so I hope someone here might be able to advise.
I currently live in Poland and I would like to use this phone with a local SIM card, but the device is asking for a network unlock code.
Since this is a very old phone, I was wondering if EE might still have the unlock code in the database or if there is a way to request it.
Could someone please advise what the best way is to unlock a former T-Mobile UK phone when you are no longer in the UK?
Thank you for any help.

Good morning, @Sylwester1986.
Thanks for taking the time to reach out to us here on the EE Community!
This is a bit of a tough one, as due to the age of this handset and the fact it was purchased on a previous iteration of our network, I can't guarantee whether we'll have the codes available for unlocking this.
I'm not massively familiar with mobile networks in Poland, but here in the UK we're increasingly starting to phase out 2G and have totally discontinued 3G, so you may find that this handset would only receive limited coverage in a world where 4G and 5G have become the norm.
You're still more than welcome to reach out to our team to see if we can help though; you can call us from anywhere in the world on +44 7953 966 250 and we'll see what we can do 😊

You can just apply for unlocking by using the Unlocking your device form and giving its IMEI no., which you can obtain be dialling *#06# into its keypad.
