I upgraded my Apple Watch online last Wednesday, had confirmation email and said would be dispatched within 24 hours - as of today still no confirmation of dispatch or delivery and advised not to call 150 as they won’t be able to help so who can help??

Have you checked your spam/junk folder? Not sure why you were advised not to call 150, that does seem strange, as they should be able to let you know whether there is a delay or not.
Which Apple Watch, colour and size etc did you order?
You will receive notification up to the evening before delivery and another one on the day of delivery with a one hour window from DPD.
