Wow, joined EE in February 2023 and was told £10 roaming charges for usa, called today and it's £15, sorry but that is above inflation and is a disgrace plus no mention of a 50% increase when I asked in February. Not happy

@stevec1958   If EE decided to increase that cost which they have that’s their choice and this doesn’t have in be the same rate as the yearly price increase.   Roaming isn’t part of your contract it’s an option that you can choose to use.

There was no mention of it probably being the agent you spoke with didn’t know that any increase in this was going to happen.

That's right it's there choice, but if I ask the question in February I don't expect it to increase by 50%, if they had told me that I would have gone with another provider.

Watch out they also charge for parts of months and whole month as well if you select start and stop times which cross charging periods.

@stevec1958   That’s because at the time it was the original cost.  It then changed at the start of April.   They couldn’t tell you as there was no information at that time to say it was going to change and to what.

@svm   That’s because it’s a 30 day add on.  you start it before you go and you’ll pay from that date onwards and you stop it once you are back.  You’ll be billed accordingly to the days you had it.

I wish you were right, but I am afraid you are not. That used to be the case, then EE decided to change things. Now, if you roam for a fortnight and that spans two of your charging periods ..... You will be charged  proportionally for the end of previous month AND then a full month charge for any part of the current billing period.
