Poor service from EE

Ive been a long term loyal customer of EE (10years plus), unfortunately, due to an ex girlfriend, my credit score is terrible but I am working on it.

Never late paying bills (Almost £200 a month from multiple lines), and I have also had multiple add to plan deals through EE, I have been told that I have allowances for another 2 devices and can spend up to £200 a month on top of what I currently pay for any add to plan.  Now I want a laptop, I log into the add to plan and notice that its all changed.  The laptops I am looking for (Macbook) are available but only through "EE Finance".   Low and behold, fail the credit check.

EE have decided to mitigate risk of add to plan by outsourcing what should be an internal account, just so they guarantee that they get paid and leave it to the 3rd party to chase any debts/etc.  But now I feel like EE do not value my custom and I am left without a Macbook despite ensuring my EE contract has always been up to date and never in arrears.  Oh and as a side note, Sky have offered me the credit and accepted me.  I just dont like the terms they want, £24 over 4 years. I wanted to pay it off over one year just like add to plan.  But looks like I will have to accept their offer 😞

Come on EE! Dont be like Sky/Vodafone/Three, put your customers first.  #RantOver

Hi @NYCSavage

Welcome to the Community!

We understand how tricky things can be when your credit score isn't where you want it to be, so I'm sorry to hear that you've been left feeling disappointed by this experience.

I'd recommend giving our team a call, and they can look into your add to plan options, and see if there is anything we can do based on your payment history, as opposed to your current credit score.

Hi Rach,

I did give the team a call, the MacBooks are not available on add to plan so the sales guy said that there was nothing he could do.

I could get a Chromebook which is underpowered for what I need.  Or there was a Samsung laptop that was powerful enough but on a 2 year plan at £108 per month on a normal 5G contract.  Neither are viable options.
