Hi @ClareAlexander

Welcome to the EE Community.

Are you off anywhere nice?

Are you going to be using your phone abroad?

If yes, I would recommend texting ROAMING to 150 before you leave the UK to ensure everything is active.

You can use your services when visiting the EU free of charge.

Katie 🙂

Hi Katie
Thanks - I am going to Nice in France I hope and was worried about my phone being blocked

Hi @ClareAlexander

Oh, I must say I am very jealous!

You can certainly use your handset abroad just ensure you have Roaming and Calling Abroad active.

Have a fantastic time,

Katie 🙂

Hi @Jskynner,

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

Are you using a pay as you go or pay monthly plan?

James

Its a monthly contract. I just want to have the option to receive calls but i cannot get a network. I have not used this phone in dubai as it is relatively new.

Hi @Jskynner,

Have you activated roaming in My EE? If not, go to Menu > Account SettingsControl Content > Roaming abroad

Hope this helps.

James

But can I just opt to only use my messages on wifi and just receive calls.  Thanks jane

Hi @Jskynner,

You'll be able to receive messages on apps that use a data connection (WhatsApp etc.) over WiFi, but you'll need to be connected to a mobile network to receive calls and SMS messages.
