I am in France and no network is showing in my phone. It has “no signal”. Although I have already tried going on my phone settings and changing data from automatic and also tried going on my EE app to turn on roaming abroad (the button wouldn’t switch on). What do I do?

Are you on a pay monthly or pay as you go plan?
Did you service work in the UK?
What phone are you using?

If roaming doesn't activate on the app then you need to speak to EE as you may need to pay a deposit to use roaming.
You can also try
Log into your on line account and then Menu - Manage Device - make sure you have activated roaming and international calls.
Or
From the MyEE app Current Usage - Controls - activate use phone abroad and make international and premium calls
