“No service” when I landed on holiday(Spain) and still persisting when I’m home

I have tried turning the phone off, updating and removing the SIM

I can’t call 150 as I have no service. I can’t use webchat as they just tell me I need to call.

it’s just flat bars where 5G would normally be and saying “no service”

How do I get my 5G back on if I can’t contact EE? I used a friends phone and we waited 37 mins on hold and she couldn’t let me use her phone for longer so I have no way of contacting EE to help me. It’s infuriating!

I have reset my phone, removed the sim, updated the software and nothing.

flat bars where 5G would be and no data.

I can’t call EE as I can’t make or receive calls or texts and they don’t have web help or chat function.

it’s a total joke I’m stuck like this and can’t speak to a human about it. What do I do here ?

Removing your SIM is a fast way to have no service! Edited to also merge two duplicate posts into one thread - you only need to post once about an issue.

Try a manual network search, and select EE from the list. Forget which "G" you get for a moment, do you regain coverage? If yes, you can then re-enable automatic selection.

If you can't manually select EE whilst in the UK, there's clearly an account/SIM/phone issue. Performing a 2way SIM-swap with a working phone would be the next step.

Removed the sim and then put it back in again. I didn’t remove the sim and expect coverage.

Manually selected EE and nothing. I don’t think it’s a phone issue it’s definitely an EE issue as I bought an ESim with Maya and had no connection issues with them.

I need a way to contact EE for help without calling them as I obviously have no access to call facilities.

You mention using a friends phone to contact EE-CS, there's your solution to contacting them - using another working phone other than yours. Either that, or visit an EE retail store face-to-face.

I would strongly recommend a 2way SIM-swap first though.

1: Put your non-working SIM in the working phone - what result?

2: Put a working SIM in your non-working phone - what result?

You may be confident this is a phone issue, in which case this test will categorically confirm it beyond any doubt. Can you elaborate on what you mean by "manually selected EE and nothing" - no error message or anything?

Did a sim swap and the sim from 3 worked in my phone found the network no problem.

my sim in the other phone no connection found.

so we’ve established it’s a sim issue do I need a new sim?

when I manually select EE it does nothing. No error message just nothing and reverts back to automatic.

Sounds like the manual search is trying to connect and timing out. The 2way SIM-swap proves this to either be an account or SIM issue - so you certainly need to contact EE-CS and follow this up.
