Are you on contract with EE or pay as you go?
If on pay as you go, did you use your SIM card before going abroad?
If on contract, did you activate roaming on your account before going abroad?
If the latter is the case, that you did not activate roaming on your account, then you will have to ring customer service either using Skype or another phone. If you phone using Skype, there is a free number: +448008586, using another phone: +447953966150.
Also, have you rebooted your phone or tried a manual search?

The underlying issue is that your phone needs to have roaming enabled, which will allow a connection to an Egyptian network for calls, texts & mobile data.
Are you on PAYG or pay-monthly?
If PAYG - phones are auto-enabled for roaming after being used in the UK first.
If pay-monthly, you will now need to contact CS from another phone or web-calling app, to request international roaming is enabled. This is usually done by texting ROAMING to 150 before leaving the UK.
