Please scroll to the section relevant to your subscription type and read all the information before asking questions:
1. EE Mobile
2. EE TV (BT or EE Broadband)
3. Sport on BT Broadband
This post will be updated as more questions/issues arise.
If your specific issue isn't covered here, then please start a new conversation
1. EE Mobile
If you used (or activated) the discovery+ app previously:
Your login to the HBO Max app is the same as it was for the discovery+ app - same email address, same password. If it doesn't work then please launch the discovery+ app now and confirm the email address you used - it may be different to what you remember. If you can't log in with your password, then try the option to send a one-time code instead.
If you haven't previously activated your discovery+ subscription:
Activate your HBO Max account now
If it tells you that you cannot watch TNT Sports as it's not part of your package:
Check again - is it definitely the correct email address you're using? Could you have used another? If you're sure, then you'll need to contact the EE Mobile helpdesk. They will need to cancel your add-on and enable it again to allow you to activate HBO Max again.
If you want to watch other content on HBO Max:
Subscriptions from EE Mobile ONLY provide access to TNT Sports - nothing else is available from EE. If you want to upgrade your subscription to include other content from HBO Max, then log into https://hbomax.com from a web browser - you CANNOT do it from the app. Select your avatar in the top right corner, then the Subscription menu. You'll see an option to get more content - this will be a payment directly from you to HBO Max, and isn't part of your EE subscription.
If you have a Sky subscription that includes access to HBO Max:
You can merge both accounts into a single login. When activating your Sky subscription, be sure to use the same email address as your EE account - both subscriptions can be used with the same login.
If you've already activated your Sky account with a different email address then you'll need to contact the EE Mobile helpdesk. They will need to cancel your add-on and enable it again to allow you to activate HBO Max again with the other email address.
2. EE TV (BT or EE Broadband)
If TNT Sports is part of your package AND you've previously activated discovery+:
Your login to the HBO Max app is the same as it was for the discovery+ app - same email address, same password. If it doesn't work then please launch the discovery+ app now and confirm the email address you used - it may be different to what you remember. If you can't log in with your password, then try the option to send a one-time code instead.
If TNT Sports is part of your package and you HAVEN'T previously activated your discovery+ subscription:
Activate your HBO Max account now:
BT Broadband customers: https://www.bt.com/mybt and select Your Products, TV and Sport
EE Broadband customers: https://id.ee.co.uk/ and select Plans & Subscriptions
If you're an Entertainment subscriber:
Now TV is the recommended app for watching HBO Max entertainment content. Almost all content is available in the Now TV app, and you'll get the best experience there.
If you want to use HBO Max anyway, then you'll need to ask Now TV to provide you with an activation link. You can do this as follows:
If it tells you that you cannot watch content that you think should be included in your package:
Check again - is it definitely the correct email address you're using? Could you have used another? If you're sure, then please email eetvsupport@ee.co.uk with your BT or EE account number. Include a message describing the issue you're having.
If you want to upgrade your HBO Max package:
If you want to upgrade your subscription to content from HBO Max that isn't part of your EE TV subscription, then log into https://hbomax.com from a web browser - you CANNOT do it from the app.
If you've already activated your Sky account with a different email address then email eetvsupport@ee.co.uk with your BT or EE account number, saying that you'd like to reactivate your HBO Max account with a different email address.
3. Sport on BT Broadband

Hi,
Thanks for the detailed instructions, however on clicking on this link it does not take you to a page were activating HBO Max can be done, nor is there anywhere obvious to do so.
Activate your HBO Max account now:
BT Broadband customers: https://www.bt.com/mybt

Can you please check Your Products, followed by TV and Sport. Our system correctly shows your subscription as awaiting activation.

How do I activate it? The link you posted doesn't take me to anywhere where anything can be activated.
30-03-2026 06:34 PM
Search across the whole page - there should be a tile with a button saying "Start Activation".
If you can't find it, please email eetvsupport@ee.co.uk including your account number and the BT ID you're logged in with, along with a comment indicating that you can't find how to activate a TNT Sports subscription on My BT.

Hi. I've TNT sorts via my EE mobile add on. It works fine, but for UHD football I can't seem to get the dolby vision to work. I can get Atmos and HDR but not dolby vision. Any thoughts? My LG TV has DV.

@73henny Dolby Vision is only available on selected titles within the Entertainment package, and only with a Premium subscription.
TNT Sports is broadcast in UHD - not Dolby Vision.

I cannot access HBO Max via the mobile phone add-on extra with user credentials from Discovery+, ive had 4 conversations with EE and all they have done is reset my TNT Sports activation, which doesnt work and HBO Max still doesnt recognise my email address.
its a really poor service when all you get is the same rinse and repeat activation request, its gotta be the definition of madness trying the same thing knowing the outcome will be the same. To make things worse i can log into HBO Max on my phone and Sky Box using the familiy credentials we use for HBO on Sky has we get HBO Max free with our subscription, when i log in i get TNT Sports but we do not get the HBO Max channels just the sport so the EE add on has messed that up as well.
absolute rubbish

TNT Sport Ultimate is broadcast as HDR10 on HBO Max as it was on Discovery +even though the watch live screen states Dolby Vision. Also, EETV seems to show the Ultimate channel UHD SDR at least on the EE supplied Apple TV.
