So basically I’ve just moved to ee from giffgaff. I had 5g with giffgaff & I live in the coverage of 5g with ee. But I haven’t been receiving 5g with ee. My phone is an iPhone 12 which is 5g ready as I’ve had 5g with giffgaff. But when I check the coverage in my area on the ee website it says there’s coverage but it’s not compatible with my iPhone12 why is this?? Is there a way I can get 5g still?

Are you on contract or PAYG? GG is only PAYG. EE PAYG plans do not support 5G yet. By switching to contract with EE you will get a 5G plan.

Out of interest, what is it you want to do with your phone that you think specifically needs 5G?

And by extension, is EE's 4G insufficient?
