Signal

Getting so frustrated with signal issues and phone calls cutting off. The signal bar never goes up over one bar when I’m in my house. Last week I was in Spain, had full signal no calls dropped. EE checked the local area and said there are no issues. Any ideas of what could be done to resolve this issue would be appreciated.

There is not any direct correlation between the number of on-screen bars and dropped calls. The on-screen bars are a very basic guide to signal quality, dropped calls can occur for a whole host of reasons - but just as easily with "full bars" as with "only one bar"

In your case, after EE have "checked the local area and said there are no issues", the obvious next stage is to ask them to investigate the reason for dropped calls. I'd recommend providing a handful of specific timed examples of call drops, those can be checked further against network traces.

WiFi-calling is an excellent mitigation against poor coverage, but if your call drops have other reasons, it may not fully resolve... but absolutely worth trying if your issues are predominantly indoors.

Hi @Belburn78

Could be many different reasons. Can you access EE WiFi calling service.

Thanks

Hi I’ve turned it on so I’ll see how it goes. No matter where I am in the house I only ever have one bar on the signal.

If you are in Spain try roaming on a different network. In the UK check ofcom coverage checker to see if signal is avalible in that area.
