No signal on iPhone 16 Plus

As stated, suddenly lost all signal. I would see 1 or 2 bars, then when unlocking the phone, it would go to 0 bars and no data available at usual places where I would get signal. This has been happening to me as a EE user for 5 years now. About once a month this happens? It stays 'No service' for most of the places, places that EE would offer coverage and the signals are showing strong based on my account settings.

I would get full bars and 5G after switching on and off the Airplane Mode, but it would only last 20-30 seconds, enough to load a text or send a text but not enough to get help from EE.

I've never really gotten an explanation from EE as everytime they say it was a signal issue or a software issue but no evidence shows that. (I also use other mobile companies on the same phone and the other SIM has not experienced this type of problem.

Hello @lolll789 ,

Welcome to the community,

Not sure why this is happening to you, but if you have not already done so, reboot the phone and see if that makes a difference.

Also, go into settings and do a network refresh.

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using web based app or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.

What do you mean by "signals are showing strong based on my account settings" - can you explain a bit more about this?

Do other EE users have coverage on their phones when yours has lost service?

Hi @lolll789

Have you set up your dual SIM correctly.

Is your EE service PAYG or pay monthly contract.

Thanks

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

EE standard opening hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 9pm - Saturday and Sunday, 8am to 8pm.

I did try to reset my network settings but it didn’t help.

Hi yes. So basically if you logon to your account on EE, it shows that your signal in your area should be running normal or if there’s an issue. Their coverage map also shows areas where I SHOULD enjoy strong signal but in reality I get nothing.

Yes I have both physical SIM cards so not much setup is required.

As for my plan, I used to be on a 2 year contract, but they didn’t have a better plan than my existing one, so now I pay monthly but enjoy the same original plan benefits (hope that makes sense.) I did notice that these issues came up after my contract ended.

So you're checking on the coverage webtool - thanks for clarifying.

My other question - Do other EE users have coverage on their phones when yours has lost service?

And if you do a manual network search, does EE show as available?
