Is there a 4G successor to the discontinued 3G booster box?

As many now know, EE are discontinuing the service of their excellent 3G Booster box, and after 7 fabulous years of 5 bar coverage use, I got 3 weeks notice of this. My phone does NOT have WiFi calling option, so I'm a bit snookered. I don't want to buy a new phone, current one is working perfectly, besides, think of all the poor dolphins in throwing perfectly good stuff in the bin unnecessarily!

Is anyone aware if there is a 4G 'booster box' available that will work for me, preferably supplied by EE? (or a generic one as an alternative)

Hi @stephen5000

Any device with WiFi calling available will show this within the device specifications. We are unable to guarantee WiFi calling will work on a device purchased from a third party.

Please see our How do I use WiFi calling? Help page for more information.

Really? I have sloshed through your web site for ages searching for a phone, you often don't even list the specifications. Here is an example - not even a 'link' to the specs. For a phone company EE are 2nd to none at describing every single 'plan' you do, not so much about the actual phone!

And by the way, I know 'how to use it', I just need a phone that has the capability as you have now withdrawn the booster box which allowed me to use my own phone!

@stephen5000  The device you’ve  linked to will have Wi-Fi calling.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Unfortunately the link you provide will not open for me as my antivirus tells me it is infected with URL Phishing! LOL and @Chris_B , thanks for letting me know that linked phone has WiFi calling, BUT, isn't that something you should inform customers about?

Of course i works for you! LOL If EE supplied my equipment, broadband etc, it would work for me too, unfortunately, I'm only a long term customer with no special treatment. I've tried Chrome, MS Edge, FireFox and Opera - all will not allow that link to open. AND if I go onto the EE web site and search for,'device guide', still can't get it...

If you are purchasing elsewhere, please check the device specifications.

If you would like to purchase the device from us you can call us on 150 and the team can check the device supports WiFi calling, if the site will not load for you.

The link posted works fine for me also. I'm using my own personal laptop running Chrome & Firefox. And my home broadband isn't EE - although this won't make any difference to file downloads.

Full link doesn't work, and as for spending time on a call with a sales person, well, I'd rather listen to old reruns of political party broadcasts LOL Just a shame that your web site doesn't allow a simple filter of 'WiFi calling', which I'd though would be a fundamental feature for many on selecting a phone especially as EE is withdrawing the ability for many in using a phone in the 1st place.

A massive missed sales opportunity in that with the email sent out to 'booster box' customers, you could have had a prepared page linked suggesting, 'Now you have no network, the following phones all have WiFi calling to enable you to still use a mobile phone!'...
