Hi,
on holiday currently in the canaries with no access to calling on my phone. I can’t even call 150 to ask a query regarding my data

Hi @Scotton
If you had searched roaming you find the answer as you've not activated the service before leaving the UK.
Try
Log into your on line account and then Menu - Manage Device - make sure you have activated roaming and international calls.
Or
From the MyEE app Click on the man in the corner - Settings and Permissions - activate roaming abroad and make international and premium calls

@Scotton , if you are unable to do as @Northerner , has suggested, you will have to ring customer service via another phone or using Skype for free:
