I've recently acquired an EE Data SIM for mobile broadband, intending to use it with my Huawei 5G/4G CPE Pro Win 2 H312-371 router. While I understand that EE support might not assist with this specific device, considering its specifications and the availability of 5G bands, I had anticipated being able to utilize it on the EE network. Upon testing the SIM in my mobile phone, it connects seamlessly in most areas around my property. However, despite mounting my external router outside with a direct line of sight to the EE mast, it only registers a 4G connection. Even when positioned in the exact spots where my phone receives 5G, the router fails to access the 5G network.
Both my router and mobile phone are 5G-enabled and unlocked. Could someone provide insight into why my router isn't able to access the 5G network while my phone can?
