Sponsorship - UK American Football

JBURNS66
Visitor

Good morning,

I am emailing on behalf of the (%^&*AL %£$%) American Football team - I play on the team and represent the committee as the Sponsorship and affiliation rep alongside my counterpart Tom. Whilst American football may seem like a new sport in the UK, It has been here for decades and has exploded in the last few years. We are also committed to delivering grass roots sessions for contact and non-contact football across the service environment, and the counties of Hampshire/ Devon and Cornwall. We were recently engaged and played a large role in a Hampshire university flag football tournament hosted by Southampton Uni and we’ve been told the event would not have occurred if not for our involvement.

In 2020 the team alongside the (TEAM) and the (TEAM) formed our respective associations and 2 years ago we became officially recognised within the UK (redacted) Sports Board. The  team has doubled in the last year. We played our first ever (REDACTED TOURNAMNENT NAME) game last year and already this year we have played a civilian tram with many more games in planning. As we move forward and look to grow and expand we have some big steps to take, this is where you come in. As a team that currently fields over 70 registered players we have a great demand for equipment, player protection, transport and storage costs. Our first ever kit sponsor ‘VIASAT’ the international communications provider for all major nautical sat comms provided our first ever run of home game day jerseys. More recently Challenge Coins UK ltd have formed a partnership with us for 3 years to sponsor our away jerseys.

The priorities of our association and team now stand with:

  1. Funding for team Lowers in white and navy blue for home and away games
  2. Padded pants with covers & A flag football uniform consisting of lightweight jerseys and pocketless shorts.
  3. A storage container/ lock up in the Fareham/ Portsmouth area.
  4. Transport provider of a van for camps or funds for rental and provision for team coach costs to take us to away games.
  5. New pads, helmets and replacement player protection
  6. Team travel/ lounge uniforms - especially important as we look/plan to travel to the USA 2025 and train/ play with the US Navy.
  7. Generic monetary donations to cover vehicle rental for vans, uniform and equipment up keep, specialist field equipment.

Note – We will be looking to achieve a long term sponsor for our home jerseys ‘navy blue’ in the near future.

We have 3 main training locations taking on weekly sessions - Portsmouth, Plymouth & Faslane with Yeovilton and Culdrose looking to start up soon. We currently train at ‘camps’ approximately every 6 weeks for 3 days as a whole team in Portsmouth.

Currently over 50% of our coaching team are civilians who provide their time and even take holiday days from work to help coach us - all at their expense. All of those travelling across the country to camps also travel at their own expense.

I would love it if we could build a relationship between our team and your brand.

We believe in a mutual working relationship and have reached out to you as your company, brand and ideals fall in line with our team and ethos.

Please can you let us know if you would be willing to discuss with us sponsorship options and any ideas or collaborations you may have.

Regards,

John
