I work for a specialist charity in that supports anyone subjected to domestic abuse and sexual violence. Our services include emergency refuge and dispersed accommodation, a free, confidential helpline, one-to-one support and group programmes in the community, and help through the criminal justice system.
We would like to be able to offer mobile phones and data-loaded SIM cards to the victims and survivors we support. It is so important that our clients are able to stay connected to their support network of friends and family, especially when their abuser may be working hard to isolate them as a means of further exerting power and control. Access to a mobile phone would enable victims and survivors to stay safe in their own homes, access support from their domestic abuse worker and other organisations, and to contact the police or other services during an emergency. Many of the people we support report that their phones have been smashed, damaged or withheld by their abuser, and others have real concerns that their phone has been fitted with a tracking device so that the abuser can monitor and stalk the victim as part of the abuse. We also have cases where a victim’s phone has been taken by the police as evidence in an ongoing investigation, leaving the victim with no means to reach out for help and support.
I hope you can help.
We have identified a need for mobile phones and data-loaded SIM cards for around 70 of the people (mainly women) that we support each year, and would be grateful for any support Tesco Mobile can give us. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if I can provide any further information.

Hello,
I am reaching out to you from Lewisham Donation Hub, a voluntary project in South East London that seeks to support refugees (and many others) with essential supplies (food, hygiene products, nappies, toiletries, etc) basic furniture and whenever possible the technology to maintain contact with families and to access the help and advice they so desperately need
Sometime ago TalkHome generously donated 1,000+ sims with data, calls and texts. Sadly, the need has not diminished with the conflict in Ukraine it has very much increased and such is the need that we have nearly exhausted our supply.
Could we ask you to consider donating as matter of urgency some sims so we can continue to help the many desperate refugees who approach us?
We know that times are hard for everyone and if you are unable to help us yourselves could we ask if you can give us ideas of other companies that we might approach?
Many thanks for your attention.
