LF headphone recommendation

GrizzlyFox

Hello 🙂 looking for a new set of headphones which have Bluetooth but also ability to plug into amp/dac for wired setup when at my pc, currently got an old pair of Sony WH-1000XM4 from 2020. Wanting something which can be good for hybrid gaming use, got a separate pair for when I'm listening to music already any thoughts or recommendations which aren’t super pricey anything in the £100-200 range.

Welcome to the Community, @GrizzlyFox

I've had both the XM3 and XM5s, and they're amazing headphones for music... in fact I'm wearing them this second! I wouldn't necessarily recommend them for gaming, though.

Whilst I've not had a chance to test the XM5s, the XM3s when paired via Bluetooth dongle to my PC had noticeable latency in games compared to my dedicated headset. This may not be the case for all games and setups, though.

I've had a couple of different gaming headsets over the years too, and whilst all have had the option to input a 3.5mm cable, I can't speak for how they perform standalone.

You can check out our gaming headset range on our Gaming Accessories page, or you can also view our full range of headphones, too.

They are indeed great for music, found them ok when connected via a dac on the pc for gaming can hear some latency compared to bluetooth but not that bad considering. Ended up getting some Bayerdyanmic 990 DT pro's in the end, would love to see some IEM's in the budget/midrange from us though. More gamers swapping to them and can be used on any console or pc even if  they're not a fit for myself.
