Haven't received the text or any instructions on how to set it up?

How long ago did you receive the Xbox? You should receive a text message to claim the gamecard within a few days of receiving the device. If you haven't received this, I recommend speaking with our Mobile Care team so that they can raise a webform to the relevant team to send one manually.

so it’s just the game pass add-on that I get with my contract.
it’s not an Xbox that I received from EE.
I’m wondering how I can activate this extra as there’s no instructions and no link sent.

You can add the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate as your inclusive extra by texting PICK to 150 and following the prompts. You'll then get a message with a link to set it up.
