@DarrenDev (and possibly others)
I’ve just read a bunch of ‘Unread Postings’ that I know I mostly read this morning, along with others.
My hypothesis is that my login expired during this, and that as I didn’t try to reply to any of them, I never noticed, but equally the Community software was no longer recording ‘read’ markers for me. Or whatever it does to administer this.
(Or possibly I didn’t log on at all, and , as above, the Community software saw no reason to alert me to this. Though clocking ‘read’ markers perhaps ought to be one).
[Edited - clocking, was clicking, in error]

It can't record ‘read’ markers while you are (hypothetically) logged out. It would seem from your description that the Community behaved correctly.

Indeed so - sorry, I had ‘clicking’ above where I meant ‘clocking’, now edited.

It can't clock anything in your name when you're logged out as it doesn't know who you are.

Indeed, that’s obvious.
The scenario I’m wondering about is when you are logged on, reading, and your session expires. And then you go from having your reading progress tracked to not having it tracked, with no warning that this has happened.

I've never experienced being timed/logged out while actively reading from the Community. It's only after a long period of inactivity that I see it.
