How do I change my display name on the EE Community?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been looking through my account settings on the EE Community but can’t seem to find an option to change my display name. I know you can update your personal details for your EE account through the website or the app (for example, editing your name, email address or contact details in your profile), but the Community seems to be different.

Could someone confirm the process? From what I understand, users can’t change their own Community display names directly, and it’s something the EE Community Staff have to do on your behalf. If that’s the case, how do I go about requesting it? Is there a specific form, or do I need to message a moderator/admin?

Also, just to clarify for anyone else reading — if it’s a significant name change due to a life event (like marriage or deed poll), I believe EE might ask for a supporting document if it’s linked to your main EE account.

Any guidance or a step-by-step would be really helpful. Thank you!

Truly, we are star-stuff, children of the universe, shining with the light of a thousand stars.” - Carl Sagan
