I can now upgrade my sim-only contract (2 months early) but where’s the loyalty? I’ve been with EE about 9 years out the last 10, I currently pay £16 for 25gb 12month, I can upgrade to 125gb for £25 12 month but as a new customer I can get this deal for £18 for same term and data through uswitch, where’s the loyalty for the current customers? Would I be able to get this deal via a phone call or shall i just wait until my contract elapses then take the new price as a new customer? All ideas/comments welcome

@Djstouty Why should an upgrading customer get a loyalty discount for that matter why should a new customer get a better offer than existing customer. All EE tariffs changed a few days ago the costs are what you see.

So what you’re saying is I should suck it up or move to a new network!

You could use the old "double port" trick. It's a bit of hassle but can save you some money.
Cancel your contract and port to another network. "Decide" you're not happy with the new network within the cooling off period and port back to EE as a new customer.
It's a fact of life that new customers get a better deal than loyal customers and it's not just EE, it's all of them. An argument for the status quo is that prices will go up for everyone if regulators get involved and try and put an end to the practice.

@Djstouty just to add your also been told you can upgrade early don’t forget that will come under EEs T&Cs of what you can actually have as your not within your upgrade period.
