I want to change from a pay as you go to a monthly type pln. My wife did this a wile back and now pays £7.68 per month, with 250mb data. It would appear to be an EE SIM 12m 250MB.  I would like to do the same, but cannot find out to do so. I tried last year online, but some nonsense about being added to her number, or having a replacement SIM. She didn't need to get a replacement SIM. A few months later, someone from EE rang me a few months later about this, but I didn't have time to deal with the call at the time. My question is how do I do this?

@Ford1 : You can do the switch from PAYG or Flex online by Switch to pay monthly and save . Your existing PAYG credit will be carried over as credit towards your future bills. You keep your existing SIM & no. The plan on it is just switched to contract.

I cannot see the "plan" that my wife has listed

£12.60 (plus a discount) per month ; unlimited texts and call; 250MB of data ; annual

If I keep my current SIM, why does it appear that I'll be sent a SIM - based on the checkout screen

I've requested a PAC and received one, plus a message about me leaving! Am I leaving? When? Do I get a new SIM? When? Will I have no phone service in that period? It' not exactly intuitive.

Well, you did request a PAC (Porting Authorisation Code). That means you want to cancel your contract & port your no. to another network.
