Hi 

upgraded phone and sim today I want to keep my number please advise if it needs to change I will return the phone and sim thank you

As long as you upgraded you keep your mobile no. by definition.

If you have upgraded the number will stay the same, if you believe you may have added an additional contract this will have a new number and will show in your My EE account.
