Leaving EE

I recently joined O2 and requested to port-in my existing number from EE. That’s been completed and I’m now up and running on O2 with my old EE number. I haven’t yet cancelled my EE contract but now can’t seem to because my number is no longer recognised as being registered with EE. Do I still have a contract with EE? How do I cancel it if I do? Or did the port-in request effectively serve as a request to cancel my EE contract? I know I wont have to pay any cancellation charges and I don’t have any device to return, I just want to cancel the monthly contract (I got a better deal with O2 and my Virgin broadband).

Use of a PAC serves to port your number and cancel the contract.

Should find that the number being ported gives your 30 day notice to Ee and will get a final bill of monthly contract.

@gallifreyangirl : Porting does not involve any notice. It's more or less immediate.

I know porting is done normally next working day. I meant it’s normally 30 days notice in your contract when paying final bill.

@gallifreyangirl : Dunno what you mean by that!  It’s normally 30 days' notice when you cancel your contract directly w/out using a PAC or STAC.
