I wanted to port my number from Three to EE and take up a sim contract but I was declined for low credit score. I am new to the UK and discovered Three is poor in my area. I canceled the Three contract within my cooling off period. Is the poor credit score for the Contract cancellation or the fact that I am new in the UK? If I can't get a contract, how then can I improve my score? Please I need help and EE won't give me details for declining.

Cancelling a contract within its cooling-off period will not affect your credit history. You just don't have long enough UK credit history. Taking out a credit card or 2, using them & paying them off on time will help you build your credit history. Also do you have a UK bank a/c & are you on the electoral roll?

Hi @Kelly01 ,
You could consider selecting an option which doesn't require a credit check from the below link.

It's likely there's just insufficient data on you at the moment and you can search for online advice on improving your credit rating.
For UK students beginning their credit record, the most important things are getting a bank account and a credit card and being registered to vote etc. The strategy may be a little different for adults newly coming into the system.
If you took a PAC from Three and gave it to EE, it's possible the PAC was not used and your Three SIM and contract could still be active. The cancellation of the old contract usually happens when the number is ported but you haven't been granted a new contract SIM for the porting to take place, based on your description.
