EE not understanding consumer law

Has anyone else had an issue with EE not understanding the UK Law on the sale of goods and being fit for purpose. This includes any inherent faults that require a replacement of product.  I have been speaking to an adviser who kept promising to get a manager to resolve my problem only to the said they were not dealing with this anymore and a manager would be in touch! No contact for weeks now despite me email EE.
