Set up a broadband only contract, minimal monthly oayement, can't remember initial contract price, I've been paying £5.00 a month , you emailed yesterday to say it going to £83.00 a month with an extra £237.00 , to settle balance...I can't afford that on a fixed pension, and non of your contracts are £ 83 00 a month...how do I cancel this rip of charge

@Col12345 Even the cheapest broadband is more than £5. It sounds like your contract term is up and the tariff on s now being changed to the true cost, All in contract discounts are removed when out of contract.
The contracts you’re looking at online are in contract prices as obviously taking one out means your in contract, it’s the small print you need to be reading.

Fixed Home BB has never been £5 / month. At £5 / month it sounds like you have mobile BB with a mobile router containing a SIM? Is that right?

£5 sounds more like a landline charge & almost as if they haven't been getting billed correctly for services due to an error to be honest as £5 only is completely incorrect. But contacting EE will be only way to know for sure
