My wifi hub is showing access by two unknown devices - how do I identify them or prevent them from accessing my network without affecting any of my own authorised devices?

By their MACs.

Just cuz they can access your router's WiFi doesn't mean that they have access to your LAN.

They could be visitors who have since left the premises.

Do you have Apple devices by any chance? If so, it could be these showing as unknown. I have had an iPhone and Apple Watch connect as unknown as they use a private wifi address (unless you turn off in settings) when it connects to wifi etc.
