My Sonos Play One won't connect to my EE router, either wirelessly or via ethernet.

Anyone have any tips, please?

I can't understand how it won't even connect via ethernet,  there's gotta be something really simple in the settings.

Tell me what a Sonos is.

It's a wireless speaker system.

Like an Amazon Echo? There should be no issues with those.

On the router, I can see the sonos is connected with ethernet and it has a mac address and IP address but the status is 'not connected'.

Sonos is the daddy of wireless speakers, it was here 15 years before Alexa!😁

Show me that My Network page for the Sonos.

Hi Hi. If it's first gen sonos and needs a zp100 to work then you are unlucky. New sonos don't need this and should work. for an older Sonos play 1, put the zp100 to one side. Plug an ethernet into the router and run it straight into the back of the ee smart hub. It should then work fine. don't plug in the zp100 as it will disconnect the broadband.
thus ..you can get the old play 1 to work, but only when hard wired to the smart (" dumb ") hub.
Not a great work around but it will work...just need a 10m ethernet cable and some gaffa tape.
Hope this helps.
